I am Eric Xiao, and it is a privilege to serve as the Secretary-General for the 3rd iteration of BRITMUN at BSB. 

 

2027 will be my 4th year since my first MUN conference starting as a delegate. MUN has truly changed my life; from debating with other delegates to researching about my country, I've understood more about the world and me as a person. 

 

I hope that BRITMUN will be an oppurtunity for all delegates to gain diplomatic skills and knowledge; challenge, research and debate as we work together for a equitable future in a fragile world. Most importantly, I encourage you all to speak up and express your countries' opinions openly with confidence and passion.

 

It is my utmost honour to invite you to BRITMUN 2027. I hope that BRITMUN will be a great experience for all.

My name is Keira Cusack and it is an honour to serve as the Deputy Secretary-General for BRITMUN 2027. I am currently in Year 10 at the British School of Beijing, Shunyi. 

​

I have been apart of the MUN world for 3 years now, and it’s been a world that I never thought I would be interested in, yet here I am. MUN has had such a strong impact on who I am today, becoming more confident from speaking up and asking POI’s, and learning important debate skills from other delegates. After I joined the executive team at BSBMUN In year 8, I felt like I found somewhere I could belong and share my ideas freely.

I wish to bring this feeling to every single delegate that attends BRITMUN III, and I hope that they go home and sit in anticipation of the next iteration.

I am Pauline Ostermann, and this will be my second year being part of BRITMUN’s executive team. 

When I attended my first conference 3 years ago, I never imagined being in the position I am in today. I was shy, unsure of what I was doing, but curious- just like many of you. And it was thanks to many conferences, patient chairs, and friendly delegates that have allowed me to get to where I am today- director general.

The MUN community has become part of me, a place where I can speak freely and share my ideas while learning something new about the world every conference. I wish to include all of you in this community and hope you find your place in it as well.

I am honored and extremely pleased to welcome you all to BRITMUN 2027, and I will do my best to make this conference a safe environment to learn and expand your MUN experiences.
