President
Cecilia Huang
Hi everyone! My name is Cecilia Huang, and I am a Year 9 student attending Dulwich College Beijing. I’m honoured to serve as the President of the Economic and Social Council for BRITMUN II, marking my 12th MUN conference.
For this conference, I will be focusing on Topic 1: Addressing the income inequality in the Sub-Saharan African region through equitable taxation. This is a pressing issue that affects social stability, growth, and long‑term development across countries in the region. I hope that delegates can approach the issue with both pragmatism and innovation, and I can’t wait to see the resolutions and constructive debates on this issue.
I believe that MUN is a wonderful opportunity for delegates to both grow individually and connect with other delegates, and I hope that everyone has the best time at BRITMUN. I look forwards to meeting you all there!

Deputy President
Emma Yin
Hello Delegates!
I’m Emma Yin, and it is an immense honor to serve as your deputy president for the Economic and Social Council for this iteration of BRITMUN. I am currently a Year 9 student attending Dulwich College Beijing, and BRITMUN II will mark my first conference as chair. Over the past two years, MUN has not just been a simple extracurricular; it has become one of my top commitments and a crucial part of my school life at DCB. This is why I am so excited to be focusing on the topic of “Reforming global trade protectionism to ensure fair market competition”. An issue that continuously shapes global economic relations and impacts development to this day.
As your Deputy President, I encourage all delegates to engage in meaningful debates, present well-reasoned arguments, and work collaboratively toward realistic and innovative solutions. I look forward to an engaging and memorable conference with all of you.
See you all in March!
