President
Alice Baek
Hello delegates!
My name is Alice Baek, currently a freshman at the International School of Beijing, and it is my honor to serve as the President of the Environmental Committee for this year's BRITMUN conference.
I will be focusing on the topic of "Implementing circularity in the sugarcane agro industry." The sugarcane agro industry poses significant environmental challenges globally, making circularity an essential solution.
Please don't hesitate to make speeches, POIs, and amendments! I hope to create a space where all delegates feel confident to challenge themselves. See you in March!

Deputy President
Keira Cusack
Hi and welcome!
My name is Keira Cusack, and I will be serving as the Deputy President for the Environmental Commission at this year’s BRITMUN conference. I am currently in Year 9 at the British School of Beijing Shunyi. This is my 13th conference, and my first time chairing, which I’m very excited about as I get to bring my passion for environmental issues to this role.
My MUN journey started two years ago when I attended my first conference. I’ll never forget the nervous energy I felt stepping up to the podium for my first speech, or the uncertainty of whether my (POI) was worth raising. Through my experience, I’ve learned the importance of confidence and collaboration. MUN has helped me develop public speaking skills, the ability to defend my resolutions and amendments, and the value of working together with delegates to craft solutions to real-world problems. It’s also provided me with the opportunity to create lasting friendships and a sense of familiarity that brings me back to every conference.
I encourage all delegates to speak up, share their opinions, step outside their comfort zones, ask questions, and have fun.
I’m looking forward to an unforgettable conference. See you in March!
