Hello, My name is Yuna Shim, a freshman attending the International School of Beijing, and it is my honor to serve as the President of the Environment Commission for BRITMUN. 

 

Being part of Model United Nations has deepened my understanding of global issues and international relations while strengthening my passion for diplomacy. Through MUN, I have gained confidence in public speaking, improved my collaboration skills, and built invaluable connections with fellow chairs, admins, and secretariats. The experience has not only challenged me intellectually but has also given me unforgettable memories. 

 

I encourage all delegates to step out of their comfort zones, speak with confidence, and actively engage in debate.

I am Alisa Ge, a junior at Beijing World Youth Academy, and it is my honor to serve as your deputy president for the Environment Commission in this year’s BRITMUN conference.

 

My MUN journey began in 2020, and over the years, I have been captivated by the energy, challenges, and friendships this community brings. MUN is not just a forum for meaningful discussions on complex global issues; it is also a place for us to discover our own voices, expand our perspectives, and grow in ways we may never have anticipated.

 

As your deputy president, I am committed to creating a supportive and engaging environment for every delegate—one where you can learn, connect, and discover your passion for diplomacy. Whether you are a new MUN-er or bringing years of experience, I hope BRITMUN becomes a meaningful and memorable part of your journey.
